NJROTC competes in Auburn University Drill Meet

Submitted by Chief Thorman

Picayune Memorial High School NJROTC departed for the 2009 Auburn University Drill Meet held in

Auburn, Alabama. Among the twenty teams from four different states, Picayune placed 7th over all,

and took 3rd in Unarmed Exibition and 3rd in Color Guard.

While in Auburn, Picayune's NJROTC Cadets had the opportunity to see much of the tremendous Auburn

University campus, and interfaced with the school's ROTC staff and students. On the return trip, they visited

the Tuskegee Airmen Museum, and learned a lot about the lost history of the Tuskegee Airman and the Red

Tail pilots.
