The Lady Tide suffered a disappointing 15-0 loss to the top-ranked Oak Grove Lady Warriors
on Monday night, but bounced back on Tuesday to defeat the Hancock Lady Hawks 6-2.
This win clinches a playoff berth for the Lady Tide as they will travel to Warren Central for the first
round of the South State playoffs slated to get underway on Saturday in Vicksburg.

Amanda Feeley started the second inning off with a double as both teams were scoreless in the first.
Sarah Trexler grounded out to the shortstop to move Feeley to third and Kristin Fleming hit into a
fielders choice to score Feeley for the first run.

The Lady Tide added two more in the third as Courtney Dickens doubled, Krystal Penton singled
and Malissa Fowler walked to load the bags. After Dickens was thrown out at home on a fielders
choice, Amanda Feeley singled to score both Penton and Fowler to make it 3-0.

Hancock added single runs in the third and fourth inning to come within 3-2 of the Lady Tide.
After a scoreless 5th and 6th inning, the Lady Tide would tack on 3 more runs in the 7th to put the game
out of reach. Penton and Fowler both drew walks and moved to 2nd and 3rd on a fielders choice by
Cassie Rabion. Amanda Feeley hit a shot to the third baseman who threw the ball into the first base
dugout allowing Penton and Fowler to score and make it 5-2. Hope Guidry would then rope a shot
to center field to score Feeley for the final run.
