2008 Region 8-4A honors

St. Stanislaus quarterback Dylan Favre was named the Most Valuable Player in Region 8-4A.

Favre set the Mississippi state single-season record for touchdown passes with 43.

He threw for over 3,500 yards as the Rockachaws made the Class 4A state playoffs.

D'Iberville, the 4A state runner-up, took the two other awards. Warriors running back Mark

Seymour earned offensive MVP honors, rushing for a Coast-leading 1,601 yards and 20 touchdowns.
Linebacker Jacoby Bell was named Region 8-4A defensive MVP, recording 122 total tackles and

seven quarterback sacks for the 4A South State champions. He also averaged 33 yards a punt and
scored 13 touchdowns this season.
