vs Hancock March 5th

On Thursday, March 5, the PMHS Archery Team competed

in their first match of the season against the Hancock High

School Archery Team.  Both teams shot well but in the end

the Maroon Tide won a very competitive match by a score

of 3119 – 3091. As a whole, the team shot very well and

seemed to pick up where they left off in 2014.

For the boys, Drew Lambert shot a match-high score of 279.

This was the highest score recorded in the short history of the

PMHS Archery Team.  Rounding out the remaining top 5 boys

shooters were William Leuba (268), Connor Bryan (264),

Matthew Mitchell (260), and Austin Mitchell (259).

For the girls, Laura Ann Stockstill shot  a score of 274, which

was highest among all girls and 2nd overall.  The other top

shooters for the girls were Staysha Munson (259),

Jordan Barrack (247), Haley Jarrell (242), and

Courtney Borchert (238).

Next up for the Maroon Tide Archery Team will be a match

at Poplarville on Monday, March 9 at 4:30.  Everyone is

encouraged to come and support for the team!
